Counters are chosen to match the range of production count desired by the customer.  Depending on the approach used to control production, the maximum count of 99 may be appropriate to cover the production in an hour, a shift, a day, a 24-hour period or longer.  Counters with maximum counts up to 99,999 are available.
 

Cycle Counter Model CC8372-C01 - 99,999 Count, Target/Actual with Delta (cycles per hour), fifteen 2.3-inch digits. Standard Counter.  Target count programmable to advance each cycle based on time.
