Chronomix History

Chronomix has been producing timers for sports since 1975. The earliest timers were designed for swim meets. It was not long before production started on printing timers for running events. One of the first, the CC707 Timer was battery operated, compact and easy to carry. It proved to be a winner and was eagerly received by the track and field and cross country markets. This was followed by more advanced timer models and a line of Digital Displays. By 1980, the Chronomix name was well known as a preferred source of electronic race timing equipment for marathons, triathlons and fun runs.

These rugged battery operated timers and displays found uses in a wide variety of timing applications from running to ice skating, and boating to automobile racing. Many race management professionals have grown to depend on Chronomix equipment. The current models, the CC737 Compusport Printing Timer and the CC3000 Series Digital Displays, incorporate more than 20 years of experience in the manufacture of timing equipment that works. As one Chronomix customer reported, "You can tell the Chronomix clocks because they are still operating at the end of the race".

Chronomix production and repair facilities remain in Sunnyvale, California. The goals of the company continue to focus on timing products that are high quality, user friendly and dependable.
